Huntingdonshire District Council has approved plans for a former pub in St Neots to turn into a home, marking the end of a lengthy planning process between the council and the applicant.
In April 2024, plans were submitted to the council seeking to convert the Millers Arms, in Eaton Socon, into a three-bedroom house.
However, in June, planning officers blocked the plans on the grounds that the applicant had not provided enough evidence to show that the pub could not be saved.

The following month, a new planning application was submitted to Huntingdonshire District Council with fresh evidence to support the applicant's claims that running the Millers Arms as a pub would not be viable.
The council are now satisfied that it would not be financially viable to run the Millers Arms as a pub and have given the application the green light, meaning that the building will now become a home.
The decision notice was published in the Huntingdonshire District Council Planning Portal on September 18.
