A flood-prone road that runs between Little Paxton and St Neots has shut after heavy rain caused substantial flooding.
Little Paxton Bridge, on the B1041 Mill Lane, closed at 10.08am.
According to data from the Environment Agency, the River Great Ouse is currently at 1.247 metres.
It comes as the Met Office issued a 12-hour yellow weather warning for heavy rain in Cambridgeshire earlier this morning.
The Met Office said some areas could see 30-50mm of rain, and a few places may receive 100-120mm or more.
In February, a petition to improve the Little Paxton and Mill Lane bridges and road surfaces hit more than 1,000 signatures.
The petition, submitted to Cambridgeshire County Council, addressed the ongoing chaos caused in Little Paxton (and as a result, surrounding villages and towns) when the Great River Ouse floods.
Heavy rainfall often causes the Cambridgeshire river to flood, and the knock on effect in Little Paxton has left the lives of residents disrupted when the bridge and road close.
Cambridgeshire County Council has been contacted for comment.
