Huntingdon Town Council and Cambridgeshire Constabulary will be joining forces to honour fallen officers this weekend.
They will host Huntingdon Police Memorial Day service to pay tribute to those who lost their lives while serving with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and its former three constituent forces: The Borough of Huntingdon, Cambridge Borough Police and Mid Anglia Constabulary.
The service follows on from National Police Memorial Day, which took place in Glasgow on Sunday, September 29.
The Huntingdon service will be held at 2.30pm on Sunday, October 6 at All Saints' Church.
Residents and attendees are asked to arrive at All Saints' Church by 2.15pm to ensure a timely start to proceedings. The ceremony will conclude with the laying of floral tributes at The Thinking Soldier War Memorial on the Market Square.
The event will offer the community the opportunity to come together and remember the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Town Council has held a Huntingdon Police Memorial Day for several years to both recognise and remember police personnel.
