A primary school in Huntingdonshire was forced to close today due to flood-related damage.
Brampton Village Primary School closed its doors on Monday, October 1, after rising water levels caused damage to the building's electrics over the weekend.
A statement published on the school's website said: "We apologise for the late notice about closing the school this morning.
"We have experienced electrical problems which we have tried to resolve and these have affected the alarm systems and gas supply meaning that it is not safe to be open today.
"We will keep you updated by email and on this page of the website."
It comes as a number of flood warnings and alerts remain in force across Huntingdonshire with the Environment Agency warning that "flooding is still possible".
The River Great Ouse at Brampton is one of the areas covered by an "act now" warning, which calls on residents to avoid "unnecessary danger."
The Met Office also issued a fresh yellow weather warning for heavy rain covering all of Huntingdonshire this afternoon and warned of potential "disruption."
