The much-loved "Chief Mouser" at a Huntingdonshire train station has sadly passed away.
Sprout, the St Neots Station Cat, had been living at the station for more than a decade and had become an adored four-legged friend to every commuter who passed by.
It was sadly announced on October 21 that Sprout had died after around 16 years in his post as Chief Mouser.
Since then, tributes have flooded in for the cat from rail passengers across the region.
A Go Fund Me has been set up in Sprout's memory to raise money for Cats Protection.
It reads: "Sprout was a much-loved, furry, four-legged part of the railway and the St Neots Community. He was loved by everyone who met him.
"In the last couple of years, Cats Protection financially supported him with his medical needs with no hesitation."
The fundraiser hopes to hit a goal of £250 to donate to Cats Protection for all of the help they gave Sprout in his last years. You can access the Go Fund Me by clicking here.
