A Huntingdonshire School has received two prestigious awards and joins a select group of schools to be named a Centre of Excellence.
Since July, Abbey College in Ramsey has been awarded The Learning Outside the Classroom Silver Mark and the Centre of Excellence Award.
It received the Silver Mark for demonstrating the principles of inclusion and was commended for promoting diversity, raising achievement for all students and creating a nurturing environment for success.
Following this achievement, the school joined a select group of 240 schools across the UK to be named a Centre of Excellence by the IQM.
Abbey College had to meet certain criteria to attain this accolade, including classroom research activities exploring inclusive practice, sharing and disseminating good practices between schools.
