A Huntingdonshire village is set for another housing development under new plans.
An updated application submitted to Huntingdonshire District Council seeks permission for seven new homes at the site of 24 High Street, a former garage, in Stilton.
It comes as plans to demolish the commercial premises and build five detached properties were approved by the district council's planning committee in February 2022.
Alternative pre-application proposals were submitted for eight properties consisting of six terraced and two semi-detached, but were deemed as "over-development.
In response, the applicant submitted plans for seven dwellings comprising two pairs of semi-detached homes and a central terrace of three.
A design and access published as part of the application said "careful attention" has been given to the properties, which draw on "positive features" from the village.

It read: "In assessing this proposal, there are several factors that weigh heavily in favour of the development.
"The proposal has been carefully developed following detailed and positive pre-application discussions with the Council and incorporates amendments based on feedback from the Case Officer and Urban Design Officer, demonstrating a collaborative and responsive approach.
"The site constitutes previously developed land, in a highly sustainable location. It benefits from an extant permission for five dwellings, which establishes a clear fallback position for residential development, further reinforcing the site’s suitability for this use
The statement added: "The proposed scheme makes the most efficient use of the land by providing seven much-needed homes in a well-designed layout, balancing the need for housing with respect for the surrounding character and context.
"The proposal has undergone thorough review and refinement, addresses all relevant planning considerations, and has no identifiable technical issues in terms of transport, biodiversity, or amenity."
