A Huntingdon pub is asking customers to donate advent calendars so everyone gets a treat in the lead up to Christmas.
Samuel Pepys, which is part of Proper Pubs, is encouraging punters to drop them off between now and November 24 before they are donated to local charities.
Andrea Hurt, operator at Samuel Pepys, said: "We really want to be able to help people because times are hard at the minute.
"Our target is to get 100 advent calendars and split them between the emergency foodbank and Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

"We will be taking them at the end of November so that people will then receive them before Christmas."
"We'd like to get as many as we can, especially after getting 82 Easter eggs earlier this year."
She added: "Any cash donations will also help the foodbank and hospital."
A spokesperson for Proper Pubs said: "Over the past two years, across its estate of more than 200 pubs, Proper Pubs has donated almost 40,000 Christmas selection boxes to local charities through the kind generosity of its community members."
