The MP for Huntingdon and veteran Ben Obese-Jecty has put in a fundraising shift for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
The former Army Officer was at Fenchurch Street Station in London yesterday (Thursday) with other uniformed services personnel and veterans.
In a Facebook post, he said: “I was very proud to put in a shift this morning at London Fenchurch Street Station alongside my old regimental colleagues from the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment and The Royal Yorkshire Regiment.
“Thank you to all those who gave generously.
“Please do donate to the RBL. Support to our veterans is vital, as is commemorating the sacrifice of those to whom we owe our freedom.”

Mr Obese-Jecty completed his officer training at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and he went on to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He has previously said his service in the Army was behind his decision to move into politics.
The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion's biggest fundraising campaign held every year in November, during the period of Remembrance.
This year, Remembrance Sunday will take place on November 10.
