A housebuilder has donated £500 to a cricket club for new kits and an astroturf facility.
Redrow South Midlands, currently building at Alconbury Weald II on Senliz Road, presented the donation to Sawtry and Alconbury Weald Cricket Club.
The club, which supports children from underprivileged backgrounds, has grown to over 60 junior members since moving to its grounds in 2022.
Volunteer John Dudley said: “We’re extremely grateful to Redrow South Midlands for this generous donation which will make a huge difference to the junior cricket team."
Redrow’s donation will fund a new astroturf facility to improve training sessions and provide new cricket shirts for children aged seven to fifteen.

Alconbury Weald, in the north of Huntingdon, offers a unique environment for families with many schools, community facilities, and 600 acres of open spaces.
