Senior sixth formers from Hinchingbrooke Sixth Form were joined by ex-servicemen, staff and younger students in an act of remembrance on Armistice Day.
For the first time at Hinchingbrooke, cadets from the army, navy, RAF, the police and St John Ambulance, as well as guides, scouts and explorer scouts, attended school in their uniforms to mark the event.
Principal Andy Hunter said: “I am grateful to the many students involved in uniformed organisations who chose to wear their uniform to school and join us in this mark of respect.
"I think it important for the whole school community to see the value we place on service to the school, the community and, ultimately, our country.”
The event follows a series of assemblies last week where students entered the hall to the strains of a bagpiper and were addressed by staff from RAF Wyton, before standing for the reading of the names of those from Hinchingbrooke who gave their lives in the two world wars.
