A man has been arrested after the bomb squad was called to a residential street in a Huntingdonshire town.
Residents on Welland Close in St Ives were evacuated after 'suspicious items' were located during a search of a property in the early hours of Monday morning (November 18).
A 100-metre cordon was established and a specialist Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was deployed to the scene to deal with the items.
The cordon has since been lifted with residents allowed to return to their homes, Cambridgeshire Police has confirmed.
An eye-witness told The Hunts Post they heard a "commotion" at around 6am when officers raided a neighbouring property.
