A 58-year-old man has been in charged with making thousands of indecent images of a child and possessing animal pornography.
David Edwards, of Alconbury Weald, is accused of making more than 5,900 indecent child images with 511 deemed Category A in their nature. This is the most severe classification.
He is listed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates Court today (Friday) and has six charges against his name.

The charges include: three counts of making indecent images of a child; one of being in possession of a prohibited image of a child; and one of being in possession of an “extreme” pornographic image portraying a dog.
Edwards, of Carnaile Road, has also been charged with possessing a paedophile manual.
The incidents allegedly occurred on or before January 26, 2024, in Huntingdon.
