A care company has celebrated the first anniversary of its day centre.
Devika Care Company was set up by Caroline Ignatius in honour of her mother, Devika, and has been running sessions at Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon for a year.
The sessions are for people with dementia and aim to provide friendship, support, and joy in a safe and welcoming environment.
To celebrate their first birthday in November, attendees enjoyed activities, lunch, and entertainment from The Singing Gardener.
Due to the popularity of these sessions, the company will now offer a second day, running every Friday from 10am until 3pm.
Ms Ignatius said: “We’re thrilled to celebrate our first year at Ferrars Hall and even more excited to expand with a second weekly session.
"Country Court has been so supportive in providing this wonderful space, allowing us to reach even more people in the community who are living with dementia.
"It’s been such a rewarding journey, and every step is in honour of my lovely mum, Devika.”
