Huntingdon was lit up with festivities as the Christmas Markets and lights switch on dazzled the town centre.
From Friday, November 22 until Sunday, November 24, the town put on a whole host of activities including singing, dancing, a pantomime and plenty of food and drink.
The Christmas lights were switched on at 6:30pm on November 22 by gold medal winning local gymnast, Sol Scott, and the Mayor of Huntingdon, Councillor Karl Brockett.
Familiar faces joined them on stage, including BID Huntingdon Town Manager, Paul Sweeney.
There were community stalls at the event from local organisations, including Diamond Hampers, the Huntingdon Volunteer Centre, MAGPAS Air Ambulance, and the Woodgreen Animal Charity.
Due to Storm Bert, some performers on the stage made the decision to cancel their shows on the Sunday. However, traders were still out to ensure that the Christmas festivities went ahead in Huntingdon.
The community took to social media to share their praise for all of the work that went into the 2024 switch on, with particular mentions going to Huntingdon Town Council and Paul Sweeney and the Huntingdon BID team.
