Two national award-winning organisations in St Ives have joined forces for a seasonal donation.
The Refill Shop of Ikigai and Holt Island are both committed to environmental conservation.
The Refill Shop of Ikigai focusing on reducing waste and plastic consumption and encourages customers to buy only what they need, using their own containers.
The shop has chosen Holt Island Nature Reserve as a partner for its current loyalty card fundraising collection.
The island, located in the Great Ouse by St Ives Parish Church, has been recognised as part of St Ives In Bloom’s Gold Medal win.
The Friends of Holt Island Nature Reserve (FOHINR) and their volunteers work to maintain the island's diverse habitats, visible from a circular boardwalk.
The boardwalk requires regular and costly maintenance, and FOHINR is raising funds to replace it with a more durable one.
Tim Reed, chair of FOHINR, said: "Being chosen as The Refill Shop of Ikigai’s loyalty card charity is very helpful, as it will contribute to allowing us to extend our new boardwalk further this winter, ready for our reopening next spring and summer, our most popular visitor time."

Martin Cooper, owner of The Refill Shop of Ikigai, said: "When looking for a local charity to support, we knew about the work of the Holt Island Friends group and it seemed a natural fit.
"We are delighted to be able to contribute to their sustainable boardwalk fundraising campaign, and look forward to visiting the island in spring when the wild flowers are all out, and the birds are singing - it is a special place."
This partnership will help ensure the island continues to support a diverse range of flora and fauna, contributing to the conservation efforts in St Ives.
The funds raised will help reduce long-term costs and the environmental footprint of maintaining the boardwalk.
