The deadline for the first ever East Anglia Clean & Green Awards is fast approaching, so if you’ve taken part in an impactful community project, volunteered for a green charity or organisation, or you’re part of a business which is working to transform sustainability in its sector, get your entries in!
Entry remains open until Sunday, December 15 at midnight, and after that the judging process will begin.
The awards were formed as a collaboration between the Eastern Daily Press’ (EDP) sister publication Insight Energy and its Clean & Green project, with the aim of celebrating the efforts of industries, organisations and people that are striving to create a greener future.
This forms part of a wider initiative backed by the EDP and other leading regional publications including the East Anglian Daily Times, The Hunts Post and Ely Standard.
There are 12 varied categories to enter into, and everyone is welcome to submit, from businesses and charitable organisations to community groups and even individuals.
The East Anglia Clean & Green Awards would not be possible without the support of headline sponsor University of East Anglia (UEA), as well as the category sponsors.
The awards are pleased to announce the addition of three new sponsors to the roster –Cadeler, Furthermore Marketing and RWE.
Cadeler in Great Yarmouth is joining the Clean & Green Awards as sponsor of the Game Changer of the Year award. The multinational business is a key supplier for the offshore wind sector, an industry which itself is creating waves in sustainable energy solutions – making Cadeler well-placed to judge this exciting category.
Furthermore Marketing is sponsoring the Behaviour Change Campaign of the Year category. A full-service digital marketing agency based in the heart Norwich, it knows all about the impact that a creative and innovative campaign can have on people’s attitudes and their engagement with a subject such as sustainability.
Finally, RWE will be sponsoring the Community Champion of the Year award. Directly employing around 2,600 people in the UK, the business continues to invest heavily in new green technologies and infrastructure to support the energy transition, and believes strongly in the importance of supporting local communities.
Entries for the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards close on Sunday, December 15. You can find out more about all the categories and enter at cleanandgreenawards.co.uk
