Rail passengers travelling from Huntingdonshire stations and Peterborough station are set to benefit from an extra train during their rush hour commute into London.
Railway operator, Govia Thameslink Railway, has worked to put together a new train timetable that will hit the tracks from December 15.
Passengers travelling on the Peterborough to King's Cross line, which stops at Huntingdon and St Neots, will have an additional weekday service to and from London in the morning and evening peaks.
In the morning, the extra service is due to depart Peterborough at 7:34am, call at Huntingdon at 7:49am and St Neots at 7:57am. It is set to get into the capital at 8:44am.
In the evening, the new train will leave King's Cross at 4:42pm, arrive in St Neots at 5:27pm, Huntingdon at 5:35pm, and Peterborough at 5:54pm.
The new timetable comes six months after additional rush hour services were introduced in a June timetable change.
Great Northern’s Customer Services Director, Jenny Saunders, said: "The new services in this timetable provide even more trains for commuters, giving customers more flexibility when they travel - and also plenty more seats to choose from."
