Lacklustre performances were the orders of the day for St Ives Town and St Neots Town on a frustrating weekend.
The Ives conceded on 14 minutes at Redditch United and failed to seriously trouble the hosts in their 2-0 Southern League Premier Division Central on February 11.
Murphy Culkin’s header doubled United’s lead before half-time when Kieran Higgs’ cross was nearly volleyed home by Ed Hottor but denied by goalkeeper Adam Harrison.
St Ives are due at Stratford Town on February 14 before visiting Alvechurch on Saturday, 3pm.
St Neots were unravelled at home after conceding on 38 seconds in a 3-1 defeat to Sutton Coldfield Town in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands.
The home side looked to respond when Liam Hook’s corner was mishandled by visiting ‘keeper Jonathan Brown.
Trea Bertie then scored twice for the visitors as St Neots substitute Robbie Mason added a consolation before being sent off following an incident.
Pete Gill’s men are due at Daventry Town on February 14 and go to Spalding United on February 18, 3pm.
