Upwood Cricket Club (CC) defeated Cambourne Cricket Club by 41 runs on its first Ladies Day to the delight of the crowd under the beaming sunshine.
More than 30 ladies were treated to a free cream tea and half-price drink on June 10 as they watched Upwood set Cambourne 265 runs to win before the hosts tore through the opposition's middle order with the ball to prevent any chance of a chase.
Victory for the Huntingdonshire side leaves them third in the county Whitings League Division three after five games ahead of their next home game v Cambridge NCI CC on June 17.
