A club record 29 athletes from Huntingdonshire Athletics Club (HAC) have stormed the Eastern Counties Championships, picking up 19 medals across an array of events.
Held at Cambridge University Athletics Track on Saturday, June 24, The HAC athletes smashed their previous record of four gold medals at the event, winning seven, alongside eight silver and four bronze medals.
A spokesperson for HAC said: "Saturday was a very good day for Hunts AC."
There were 405 athletes who entered the competition across all age groups from 46 athletics clubs.
Clubs from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire all took part.

Moria Howard, Sophie Bambridge, Caitlan Burke, Toby Carroll, James Coleman, Nikolaos Tirchineci and Christopher Smith all won their respective events, receiving gold medals.
Moria, despite being up half the night with an illness, according to mum Margit, took part in her first outdoor competition of the year since recovering from injury.
Despite this, Moria, ranked nationally as the fifth-best under 17 Women's triple jumper, was crowned the under 17 Women's Eastern Counties triple jump champion.
Sophie long jumped 5.65 metres to win the under 20 women's gold, and Caitlan triumphed in the under 20 women's high jump.
Toby is the new Eastern Counties under 17 Men's shot put champion with a 10.40-metre throw, and he also Also picked up a silver medal in the hammer throw.
In the under 13 Boy's 200 metre final, James ran in 26.84 seconds to win before narrowly missing out on a 100m gold by just 0.02 seconds.
Nikolaos won the Senior Men's Triple Jump with 12.63 metres, just three centimetres from his PB, and Christopher strode home in the 1500 metre race, backing up his efforts from the county championships.
Tamzin Digpal-Race (2), Aimee Hays, Esme Lydon, Izzie Newman, and Mia Rutherford all picked up silver medals, with Tamzin also winning a bronze, with Steve Burke (age 50; Caitlan's dad), George Connel and Lewis Wing also winning bronze.
Several athletes will now attend the English Schools Championships in Birmingham on June 30 and July 1.
