Upwood Cricket Club is holding its 'Returning Players Day' on Saturday, August 3 at the Huntingdon Road ground.
The club is inviting all past players to to come and enjoy an afternoon of cricket, meeting old friends and a cricket tea in the club marquee. The event starts at midday and the club bar will be open.
Upwood Cricket Club has a long tradition of success both in the adult and junior sections. In recent years it has expanded and now puts out three teams each weekend.
For the 2024 season our First XI plays on Saturday in the Whiting and Partners Premier League Division 2 and our 2nd XI on Saturdays in Hunts league Division 3.
There is also a team in the Rutland League on Sundays.
The junior section continues to go from strength-to-strength with more than 40 juniors attending training sessions and playing games against local teams. The club puts out teams from the under-9s to the under 15 age group.
