Graham Mills reports on the UCL Premier Division South game between Bugbrooke St Michaels and Eynesbury Rovers.

Eynesbury Rovers came from 2-0 down at half time to record a 3-2 success to gain revenge for the 1-0 home defeat against Bugbrooke last month.

Victor Osobu started the revival with his 16th goal of the season five minutes into the second half but the striker was later sin-binned. As he returned to the fray Jonny Hall was also sin-binned but that did not prevent Axel Owusu from equalising 10 minutes from time or Oliver Brookes from netting an 88th minute winner.

In wet conditions on a difficult pitch Bugbrooke took a 17th minute lead when the ball fell kindly for Shad Reza and he made no mistake from six yards out.

On the stroke of half-time the hosts were awarded a penalty when Dan Hammer was adjudged to have brought down a Bugbrooke striker in the box. Harry Slaymaker scored from the spot to make it 2-0 at the break.

Eynesbury pulled a goal back in the 50th minute when a long throw in by Dan Hammer was not cleared by the defence and Osobo tapped in from close range.

They drew level in the 80th minute when a corner on the right was played back to Takula Chijota, who was making his debut as a substitute, and he delivered a high cross to the back post. Osobu’s shot was only parried by the goalkeeper but Axel Owusu pounced to net the rebound.

The winning goal came two minutes from time thanks to some very poor Bugbrooke defending. A Dan Hammer cross from the left was not dealt with by the goalkeeper and a poor clearance by a defender fell to Oliver Brookes to slot home from close range.

Back to back victories have lifted Eynesbury Rovers into eleventh place in the league table and their next game is on Saturday, November 30 when they host Easington Sports, kick-off is  3pm.
